Ingredients in Provitura

We've packed Provitura with carefully chosen ingredients from vitamins, minerals and omega-3 to plant extracts like CBD, curcumin and piperine. Here you'll see what each component does and the potential benefits highlighted in research.

For vitamins and minerals we base ourselves on more than 70 EU-approved health claims from Commission Regulation (EU) No. 432/2012. For ingredients without approved claims – such as CBD, curcumin and piperine – we instead describe what selected studies have found, without promising a particular effect.

Green hemp leaf

CBD - From the Hemp Plant

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a natural substance from the hemp plant. Provitura uses a micro-emulsified, water-soluble formulation which research shows can increase absorption up to four times compared with traditional CBD oil. [2][3].

Turmeric powder in a bowl with turmeric roots

Curcumin - Natural Power from Turmeric

Curcumin is the active component of turmeric and has been used in Ayurvedic and Asian medicine for over 4,000 years. Today it's one of the most researched natural substances, with hundreds of clinical studies into its potential health benefits.

Green algae-derived omega-3 powder

Omega-3 (DHA/EPA) – From vegan algae

Provitura contains omega-3 from vegan algae - the original source that fish themselves obtain their omega-3 from. A clean, sustainable and plant-based source of the essential fatty acids DHA and EPA.

Sunflower seeds, a source of vitamin B1

Vitamin B1 (Thiamine) - Energy and Nervous System

Vitamin B1 is essential for the body's energy metabolism. It plays a central role in converting the food you eat into fuel for body and brain.

Seeds and grains rich in B vitamins

Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic acid) - Mental Performance

Vitamin B5 is involved in a wide range of processes - from energy production to synthesis of hormones and signalling substances in the brain.

Banana, a source of vitamin B6

Vitamin B6 - Immune System and Hormones

Vitamin B6 is involved in over 100 enzymatic reactions, including protein metabolism, formation of red blood cells and regulation of hormonal activity.

Banana, a source of vitamin B12

Vitamin B12 - Energy and Nervous System

Vitamin B12 is crucial for the nervous system and the formation of red blood cells. Especially important for people who eat plant-based, as B12 is primarily found in animal foods.

Berries rich in vitamin C

Vitamin C - Immune System and Antioxidant

Vitamin C functions as a powerful antioxidant and is essential for the immune system and the formation of collagen in skin, bones and joints.

The sun, the natural source of vitamin D

Vitamin D (D3) – Bones and Immune System

Vitamin D is produced naturally in the skin when it is exposed to sunlight - but in Europe many get too little, especially in the winter months.

Fresh spinach, a plant-based source of iron

Iron - Energy and Oxygen Transport

Iron is essential for the formation of haemoglobin - the protein in red blood cells that binds oxygen in the lungs and transports it around to all the body's cells. Without enough iron this oxygen transport does not work optimally, which can be felt as fatigue and reduced focus. Therefore iron plays an important role for energy, concentration and a well-functioning immune system.

Brazil nuts, naturally high in selenium

Selenium - Antioxidant and Thyroid

Selenium is a mineral that the body only needs in small amounts - but those small amounts are crucial. Selenium functions as a powerful antioxidant that protects the body's cells and plays a central role for both the immune system and metabolism.

Almonds, a natural source of magnesium

Magnesium - Muscles and Mental Balance

Magnesium contributes to a wide range of processes in the body - among other things to normal muscle function, the normal function of the nervous system, electrolyte balance and psychological well-being. A sufficient intake of magnesium is therefore important for both body and mind.

Pumpkin seeds, a source of zinc

Zinc – Immune System and Skin

Zinc is a key mineral for the immune system, skin, hair, nails and hormonal balance. It contributes to allowing cells to divide and repair themselves and plays an important role in the body's natural defence against oxidative stress.

Black peppercorns, the source of piperine

Piperine - Increased Absorption

Piperine is the active substance in black pepper. In Provitura piperine is added in a small amount because research suggests that it can act as a "bio-enhancer" and increase the absorption of selected substances - especially curcumin.[9][10]
