CBD Dosing

How do you choose the right Provitura?

Provitura is available in three strengths: Light, Medium, and Strong. The only difference is the amount of broad-spectrum, micro-emulsified, water-soluble CBD, designed for easier absorption. All other ingredients are the same across variants.

  • Light: 10 mg CBD per day, taken as two 5 mg capsules
  • Medium: 20 mg CBD per day, taken as two 10 mg capsules
  • Strong: 30 mg CBD per day, taken as two 15 mg capsules

The right strength usually depends on your body weight and personal needs. CBD effects can vary from individual to individual.

On this page, we guide you step by step to help you find your ideal dosage.

Choose the right Provitura strength

To find the strength that suits you best, start with your body weight and the recommended daily amount of micro-emulsified CBD. The table below offers a simple guideline to help match your weight with the appropriate Provitura strength.

Use the overview as a simple way to identify whether Light, Medium, or Strong is likely the best fit for you.

Note: This chart is intended as general guidance only.

Weight (kg) Micro-emulsified CBD
(mg/day)
Recommended Provitura
strength
45–55 10 mg Light
55–65 10–15 mg Light / Medium
65–75 15–20 mg Medium
75–90 20–25 mg Medium / Strong
>90 25–30 mg Strong

Table: Choosing strength at Provitura

Important information

Start low: We always recommend starting at the lower end of the range and adjusting gradually.

Effect vs. mg: A higher dose does not necessarily provide a better effect. It depends on individual response.

Splitting: The daily dose can be divided into two portions (for example morning and evening).

We always recommend: Eating healthy and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Important: Never use the product if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. We always recommend consulting your doctor, especially if you are taking medication.

Why choose Provitura over traditional CBD oil?

Provitura uses micro-emulsified, water-soluble CBD designed for improved absorption compared to many traditional CBD oils. Research suggests micro-emulsified CBD formulas may offer 2.5 to 4 times higher bioavailability. Higher bioavailability means your body may utilize more of your daily dose.

You can explore the research background and sources on our benefits page.

The table below shows the difference between traditional CBD oil and micro-emulsified CBD.

Weight (kg) Approximate oil-based CBD
(mg/day)
Water-soluble micro-emulsified CBD
(mg/day)
45–55 25–40 mg 10 mg
55–65 25–60 mg 10–15 mg
65–75 37,5–80 mg 15–20 mg
75–90 50–100 mg 20–25 mg
>90 62,5–120 mg 25–30 mg

Table: Micro-emulsified CBD vs. CBD oil

*The difference in bioavailability is estimated using an assumed range of 2.5×–4× higher bioavailability for water-soluble, micro-emulsified CBD.

Price advantage of Provitura compared to traditional CBD oils

When compared with standard CBD oils, Provitura offers clearly higher value for money.

In the calculation below, the price difference and savings are calculated based on an absorption rate that is 2.5 to 4 times higher than oil.

To ensure a fair comparison, we use a 40 percent CBD oil of 10 ml, corresponding to 4000 mg CBD in a dropper bottle that typically contains around 250 drops. This is one of the most concentrated CBD oils on the consumer market.
When compared with oils of lower concentration, which are more common, the savings with Provitura would be even greater.

Attention: The table only considers savings related to CBD and not the additional savings from other ingredients found in Provitura. Therefore, the actual savings are greater than shown.

Product Dose per day Unit price Days per product 30-day cost Savings vs. oil
Provitura Light 10 mg capsules 10 mg 319 kr 30 days 319 kr 60 kr
40% CBD oil 10 ml (4000mg) 40 mg 1.299 kr 100 days 360 kr
Provitura Medium 20 mg capsules 20 mg 399 kr 30 days 399 kr 320 kr
40% CBD oil 10 ml (4000mg) 80 mg 1.299 kr 50 days 719 kr
Provitura Strong 30 mg capsules 30 mg 479 kr 30 days 479 kr 682 kr

Table: Savings with Provitura compared to CBD oil.

*Prices for Provitura are based on subscription pricing. CBD oil prices are estimated based on commonly seen market prices.
*Calculations assume that 10 ml oil contains approximately 200 drops.
*Calculations assume absorption is four times higher with Provitura compared to oil.

CBD & NATURAL INGREDIENTS – RESEARCH

CBD, curcumin and piperine do not have EU‑approved health claims. The information below is based on published, peer‑reviewed studies and does not constitute medical claims. Results may vary from person to person.

CBD (cannabidiol)

Provitura uses a micro‑emulsified, water‑soluble CBD formulation. Clinical studies have shown that this type of formulation can increase absorption up to four times compared to traditional CBD oil [1,2].

Research investigates CBD’s potential role within:

Stress & Anxiety A randomised clinical trial (2024) with 300 participants showed that the CBD group experienced the greatest improvement in anxiety symptoms. A large case series (2019) with 72 adults found that 79.2% experienced improved anxiety within the first month [3,4,5].

Sleep quality In the same case series 66.7% reported improved sleep within the first month. Research suggests that CBD’s sleep effect may partly be due to reduction of anxiety and racing thoughts [4,6].

Pain & Inflammation A cross‑sectional study (2022) with 428 participants with arthritis showed that 83% reported pain relief when using CBD. A review from 2020 documents CBD’s anti‑inflammatory mechanisms and finds antioxidant activity higher than vitamin E or C in laboratory studies [7,8].

Mood & Mental Balance Animal studies have shown rapid antidepressant‑like effects, and human research indicates that CBD may support emotional regulation via the serotonin system. However, larger human studies are still lacking [9,10].

Curcumin

Curcumin is the active substance in turmeric. A meta‑analysis of 32 clinical studies with over 2,000 participants found that curcumin supplements reduced several markers of inflammation [11]. Research on people with osteoarthritis has shown improved pain and function compared to placebo [12].

Curcumin has naturally low bioavailability, which is why Provitura combines it with piperine [13].

Piperine

Piperine is the active substance in black pepper and acts as a “bioenhancer.” A clinical study showed that 20 mg piperine increased blood levels of curcumin by about 2000% compared to curcumin alone [13].
