CBD is Nature’s Gift to Wellness and Health

CBD supports body and mind with natural balance. It can assist with stress management, improve sleep, and support heart, skin, and brain health.

Introduction to CBD

CBD, often sold as CBD oil and CBD capsules, is an extract from the cannabis plant. Unlike THC, CBD is not psychoactive, meaning it does not cause a high. Its potential wellness characteristics are attracting significant attention for general health and well-being, including cardiovascular support.

  1. Heart Health and Blood Pressure
High blood pressure is a known risk factor for heart disease. CBD has been observed to support blood pressure management in some cases, which could potentially contribute to cardiovascular wellness. Research suggests that CBD may help relax blood vessels and improve circulation.
Several scientific studies point to CBD’s potential in supporting heart health through its characteristics.
A recent review from PubMed shows that CBD may contribute to protecting the cardiovascular system and improving blood vessel function. Read more here
  2. General Wellness Properties
Maintaining a balanced inflammatory response is key to long-term health. CBD is often used for its properties that may be beneficial in supporting the body’s natural processes.
  3. Stress Reduction
Stress and anxiety can have direct negative effects on overall health. CBD products like CBD oil, CBD gum, and CBD gummies are known for their calming properties, which can play a role in managing stress-related concerns.
  4. Support for Arterial Function
CBD may also support arterial function by assisting the arteries’ ability to dilate, thereby supporting healthy blood flow. This can reduce the overall strain on the cardiovascular system.
  5. Neurological Support
While not directly related to heart health, research supports that CBD may assist in managing various neurological conditions that can affect general health.
  6. CBD’s Effect on Sleep
Research suggests that CBD may improve sleep quality by reducing sleep latency (the time it takes to fall asleep) and by reducing the frequency of waking up during the night, which can be particularly beneficial for individuals with sleep issues related to stress. CBD interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system, which plays an important role in regulating sleep cycles.
  7. Skincare and Dermatological Benefits
CBD, or hemp oil as some call it, has shown potential benefits for the skin, including supporting the skin’s natural response to irritation. Research also suggests that CBD may help balance sebum production, which can be beneficial for those with oily or blemish-prone skin.
  8. Potential Support During Habit Changes
Scientific studies indicate that CBD may have a supportive effect during habit changes, particularly in connection with tobacco and opioid use. CBD may reduce the urge for these substances without the negative side effects often associated with traditional methods.
  9. General Calming Properties
Early research shows that CBD may have calming effects, which can be beneficial in managing various mental wellness conditions. These potential effects could offer a more natural approach with fewer side effects than traditional options.
  10. Potential Neuroprotective Properties
Research points to CBD potentially having neuroprotective properties, which may be beneficial for individuals with neurodegenerative conditions. These properties may be due to CBD’s ability to support healthy nerve function.
  11. Support for Wellness Routines
Research also shows CBD’s potential in supporting wellness routines. CBD may interact with brain circuits associated with habit formation, thereby assisting in maintaining a balanced lifestyle.
  12. Improvement of Skin Quality
CBD can support skin quality by addressing various skin concerns. Its properties help reduce irritation and redness, resulting in clearer and healthier-looking skin.
  13. Relief for Chronic Discomfort
CBD has shown effectiveness in relieving chronic discomfort. By interacting with the endocannabinoid system, CBD can assist in managing the perception of discomfort, providing a method without the habit-forming properties often associated with traditional options.

Conclusion on CBD’s Wellness Benefits

CBD continues to show positive results in many wellness-related areas. From heart health and general support to mental well-being and skincare, CBD can offer significant benefits without the psychoactive effects associated with other cannabis elements like THC. Research has shown CBD’s ability to support stress management, improve sleep, and assist with discomfort. Additionally, CBD’s potential neuroprotective properties warrant further investigation into neurological wellness. While research results are promising, they also emphasize the need for continued scientific study to confirm CBD’s many potential benefits. With more studies in the future, there are new opportunities to use CBD in modern wellness and therapeutic applications, which can improve the quality of life for many people. It is recommended that anyone considering using CBD first consult with a doctor or a similar healthcare professional, especially if they are already taking other medications, to ensure it does not interact negatively with existing treatments.

CBD & NATURAL INGREDIENTS – RESEARCH

CBD, curcumin and piperine do not have EU‑approved health claims. The information below is based on published, peer‑reviewed studies and does not constitute medical claims. Results may vary from person to person.

CBD (cannabidiol)

Provitura uses a micro‑emulsified, water‑soluble CBD formulation. Clinical studies have shown that this type of formulation can increase absorption up to four times compared to traditional CBD oil [1,2].

Research investigates CBD’s potential role within:

Stress & Anxiety A randomised clinical trial (2024) with 300 participants showed that the CBD group experienced the greatest improvement in anxiety symptoms. A large case series (2019) with 72 adults found that 79.2% experienced improved anxiety within the first month [3,4,5].

Sleep quality In the same case series 66.7% reported improved sleep within the first month. Research suggests that CBD’s sleep effect may partly be due to reduction of anxiety and racing thoughts [4,6].

Pain & Inflammation A cross‑sectional study (2022) with 428 participants with arthritis showed that 83% reported pain relief when using CBD. A review from 2020 documents CBD’s anti‑inflammatory mechanisms and finds antioxidant activity higher than vitamin E or C in laboratory studies [7,8].

Mood & Mental Balance Animal studies have shown rapid antidepressant‑like effects, and human research indicates that CBD may support emotional regulation via the serotonin system. However, larger human studies are still lacking [9,10].

Curcumin

Curcumin is the active substance in turmeric. A meta‑analysis of 32 clinical studies with over 2,000 participants found that curcumin supplements reduced several markers of inflammation [11]. Research on people with osteoarthritis has shown improved pain and function compared to placebo [12].

Curcumin has naturally low bioavailability, which is why Provitura combines it with piperine [13].

Piperine

Piperine is the active substance in black pepper and acts as a “bioenhancer.” A clinical study showed that 20 mg piperine increased blood levels of curcumin by about 2000% compared to curcumin alone [13].
